I am the head coach for the Atlantic High School (Port Orange) boy's and girl's bowling teams.  My boy's team is in a rebuilding year, but my girl's team is a top contender to take the state championship title this year.  Last year my girls took second place at the state tournament.  In a double elimination format, they lost their first match and went to the losers bracket.  They won every match in the losers bracket and ended up in the finals where they beat the winning team in the first match but then barely lost the second and final match.  Since we have lost no one, we will return with the same players as last year and hopefully win the gold.

That being said, the school systems do not support sports like they used to and we must fund raise almost every dollar we need to pay our bills.  My teams are having a pancake breakfast this coming Saturday, September 11 at Aunt Catfish's in Port Orange.  We will be serving from 8am-10am and the cost is only $5.00.
