harley77 wrote:Hon', I believe those LED's gave me the advantage during rough conditions, wind chop, murk, fast runningn tide and debris. It also allowed me to cull my shrimp and pick out the larger ones. Have you see the fence idea for the dip net? Keeps the rim runners from getting out of the hoop? When they jump they hit a 4" mesh lip and fall down into the net. I am so excited for shrimping season to start again! Summer just gets in the way! You got all you need my friend! I cannot agree with you more, I am a real fan of the LED too....just cannot find a down side to using them. |

Best Light on the water. Will double or triple your pull for the night. Great in chop, wind blown water, dirty water. We started using out Green LED mid last season. Had one last season now we are up to four. Retired the other lights because who ever was using the LED light was out dipping the other person 3 or 4 to one.
Thanks for the new lights Nite Owl |

Spoke to NiteOwl last night, and he is slowly selling out of this 2010 LED light. He has changed the design for the 2011 season. The 2010 light is awesome, and a steal at $100 each, hundreds were sold for $130 last year plus shipping.
He will sell out of these orange cord lights. The $100 ensures this is the last light you will buy, these lights are rugged and the LED burns for long time and is so battery friendly....they draw only 1/3 the power other lights draw [halogen being the worse]. Mediocre lights sell for $50 each and drain the batteries. So $100 is reasonable for how many years you will get out of it, and the warranty this light carries. |

I ordered two of the 2010 models today. Tried to call but was unable to talk to someone, left a message on the machine. Just wanted to confirm they are not sold out. Bought my net today from Ron. Getting ready!

NiteOwl is da' man! You chatted the ultimate master of engineering! Between your LED lights and Ronnie's dip net, your smoking! You have the advantage, and those LED's can make the difference [especially in dirty water]. My gear is very important to me, and this is one corner you just should not cut.
I look forward to going thru the 2010-2011 shrimping season with you. ![]() |
