What can I say other than I am so blessed to have so many friends that gave their all to pull off this BBQ. I cannot take the credit for the success. The team has the same drive and passion this site was founded on. THIS is who we are, and that will never change...we can only build on it and expand our family.
We do NOT drama.
We GIVE.
We SHARE.
Today was the beginning of our LEENOGA.COM tent city, and I was one PROUD peacock! Who would not want to be selfish with ALL their Brothers and Sister's beside them? From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU for the help, the participation, money contributions, canopy/equipment donation for all future BBQ's etc....
Bill and Cathy - Grill duty is hot and in the summer time un-bearable. THANK-YOU for organizing the entire food service from inventory purchases, towing grills, cooking to setting up the service line. I could NOT have done this without your support. Cathy and THANK-YOU also for the roster forms you desktop published and all the data management. You were my PROZAC, you kept things out of chaos which kept me out of chaos.
Alan - THANK-YOU for organizing the raffle and taking over MC duty, and ALL the things you did to take the demand of of me. What a great prayer you said. You give selflessly, and your my security [and blanket] and I felt safe knowing you would handle any problems if they arose. Thank-you for those awesome name tags you made...you made me look so good...but folks it was all Alan for the ribbon/pin tags. You set the bar high, so you know you will need to do them again in 2011.
Craig - The fishing tournament went off flawless, and what a great time had by the anglers. THANK-YOU for pitching in with all the things you did too! It was great seeing you at sunrise on the beach fishing. Sometimes alone time is worth a 1,000,000 bucks. THANK-YOU for un-loading my truck, setting up tables, helping me award the trophies. Your such an asset to the team.
Tonya & Sandy [SwampAngel & Dragonfly & Austin], registration was smooth and all the detail work was so organized and ran so efficiently. I cannot thank you all enough for giving up your entire Saturday to support this new venture. Your laughter and positive attitudes is infectious. THANK-YOU for all you did including the photography. You are true friends, and it did not go un-noticed. Your A++++ in my book, and I don't grade on a curve.
Frankk - I am a big fan of your knowledge and experience. I really enjoyed your seminar and now I can throw a big cast net! THANK-YOU for the canaopy donation for future BBQ's, and the crab master machine. I wish I had more time to spend with you and visit. Plan on all kinds of pillowtalk on the website, you have so many people that want to learn from you. Thank-you for the donation to the raffle.
NiteOwl - Your amazing, your amazing, and did I mention your amazing. You and I both seem to be able to enjoy each other's successess, I am so proud when I see you lecture. You have revolutionalized the shrimping industry, and I am so proud to have your family in my life. Oh, I got a new "Mom", so does this make you "Dad"? THANK-YOU for all you did and the LED donation for the raffle. I love you dearly.
cAPT Ron: I almost felt like a bride today, having all the people I care about with me on this first BBQ. Usually it takes a wedding or a funeral to bring people together. Well, we got the BBQ, and your raffle donations helped me immensely. You have such "heart" and I think this is the bond that pulled this community together. Each and everyone of us have "prop" scars from a bad on-line experience etc., and your heart was embraced by so many in this community. YOU MAKE PEOPLE HAPPY. You know how I feel about you and Patty, I love your dearly too.
ShrimpNFish - THANK-YOU for packing my truck out, I just ran out of steam. YOU DID a GREAT job, got home with NO rain. It is hard for me to admit when I run out of "gas/energy", been a long week in preparation you stepped up in the heat and did it all! The thought of re-packing my truck was not a pleasant thought, and you just took the wear and tear right off of me. THANK-YOU.
JeepJock "JJ" , your sound equipment ROCKS, and I felt bad you hauled all it over and the generator came late and we could not utilize your equipment. I am so envious of your setup! WOW! Maybe I can ask you some questions about wireless. THANK-YOU for helping us setup, and organzing things. YOU are a true friend, and your another one that sports that big heart and jumps in with a loving hand to help any way possible. I will always remember your kindness and support, and when I think about "JJ", I will smile.
Capt Frank Brownell & Cdivr Mike THANK-YOU for jumping in and helping Bill "RetiredMrBill" in the gally cooking up the burgers, dogs and shrimp. Running the kitchen is the toughest of jobs, and CdiverMike is the "Chef" for ISAA BBQ's, and it was great seeing him in the kitchen helping. Bill, Frank and Mike play well together too!
THANK-YOU all wives and spouses who helped setup and clean-up. Parks came to get the trash and they thought we were awesome how we left the park immaculate.
I have not gone into the ocean in 35 years or so. Today, I went into the ocean with some of my crew for some "Victory" play time, and I will do this after every BBQ as a a ritual and good omen for next year. Cathy told me to leave my revo's in my towel and I said, "Nah"...a good wave got me on the way out, and the glasses went swimming [eyeglass rope let loose on wave impact] & instantly lost to the sea. I wanted a new pair of Costa's anyhoo....see, something "good" comes out of something "bad"...getting new glasses!
We will hold our annual tent city BBQ at this park in 2011, and we really had it nice out there...and it seems folks really liked enjoying the beach and surf for both fishing and cooling off. I will aim for mid May so the snowbirds can come to the "city".
Ok, I am gonna let others talk...I got more to say, and will be back. If I forgot to mention anyone who teamed up to pull this off, I apologize, I am exhausted and brain dead... I do irresponsible better than I do responsible. Trust me.

THANK-YOU ALL coming and WE ARE MOVING UP! I loved meeting each and everyone of you! XXXXXOOOOOO.
