When I held this new Pro series light, the first thing that struck me was the "fluidity" of the cord...it is not a rigid cord we note when we buy the orange cords for outdoor needs. It is real fluid when you loop it up for storage. I like that! I have little cleats on my boats for light cords only, and this cord will wrap without fighting me.

I really enjoyed throwing the LED Greenie last season, and would buy the original one despite the new generation Pro series. I highly recommend going to a Leslie's pool, and buying the large pool noodle, and cutting off an 8 inch piece and wrap the light housing in the sliced noodle. I need to make one for the Pro series.

I also recommend puchasing the .99 light carrying caddy at Walmart to wrap your cord. I use a 32" green bungee cord, and stow my LED lights like this. I really do not need the pool noodle protection for the housing...but I do it to protect from scratches, I suppose? <img...

Just in from my workshop for some zzzzz's and you're already oooogggglllliiiingggg ove my lasted and probably best light I ever desighned and built. It's been a challenge from the original light to this new light, to get it ready for the upcoming season.

Performance wise, the light has essentially the same diameter viewing circle, about 20+ foot in diameter. The difference between the original orange cord light and this black cord light amount to about 8 inches (theoretical - you can't tell the difference).

Most of the changes were prompted by comments and feedback from the original users. The standard cable lenght has bee increased to 40'; The cable diameter has been decreased by akmost 1/16 inch for less water resistance in the current, and the construction of the cable has a different feel than the orange cable - it is lighter and more flexible, yet strong enogh to withstand greater than a 100 lb pull.
And, yes the cable is proprietary with a...
